Sylvia: not about fashion
As I look back on 2015 the one thing that I love the most is that January 1, 2015 just after midnight, I married my best friend. So we begin this New Year as we will with every New Year together…standing strong, with love in our hearts and making all our dreams real. We are currently planning our “Celebration of Marriage”. Originally I had planned it close to our anniversary, but with both our crazy busy schedules, looks like we’ll be pushing the reception date out. With us having so much on our plates, we have yet to decide on a menu and our a cake, Ive even changed my colors three times and and have yet to find a dress that I like! Im thinking i’ll be having my dress custom made so i’ll definitely need more time for that. The cool thing about that is that there will be no other dress like it in the world. I had crazy beautiful ideas for floral decor, but none of it was “me”. So I asked friends what came to mind when the think of me….. responses were all over the board. Fun, sassy, cute, cheerful, kickass (ha!). So I figured it out! Im going with fun, cute, bright, and colorful! Ive pulled a couple examples from Pinterest to kind of give you an idea. I just want it right, perfect, and totally me….. after all its not like you get married everyday.
Before you think about correcting me, yes, I know it’s Good Friday, but if you had today off from work, you’d think it’s a Great Friday too! Haven’t thought too much about what I’m going to do, but having a weekday off in the city is SO great! Swamp Thing is making blueberry pancakes. Before you make awww sounds, he lost a bet! 😉
Here are a few fun items I picked up this week:
Jack by BB Dakota white lace zip up cardigan with zipper pockets – I love that although this is all lace, it’s offset by modern details like the zippers and the knit elastic collar and waist band.
Jack by BB Dakota Delaney dress – I love the bold color of this dress! I can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough to wear this!
Free People black lace detail shorts – These almost look like a skirt but I love that they’re shorts. It’s a bit more playful than just a skirt. The details are really gorgeous.
Hope you all have Great Fridays too! xo
In one of the many smutty celebrity gossip magazines I read, there’s a feature where celebrities spill the contents of their bag. I don’t know why this fascinates me, but for some reason, it’s exciting to see that
Stars are just like us!
Scarlet Johansson has a tampon in her purse! So I thought it’d be fun to spill the contents of my bag!
Unlike my sisters Xtine and MPJ, I don’t have Tetris-like precision when organizing my purse. I did have to clean a bit and throw out some receipts.
